Senior Electronics Engineer (hardware + software) for embedded systems
Job Description:
Astera is the leading manufacturer of wireless LED lamps for event and architectural lighting. The company employs engineers and a sales team in Germany and develops and produces in Shenzhen, China. Together with a team of engineers the Senior Electronics Engineer will develop new LED lamps, drivers and power supplies. For an experienced candidate a good package is offered.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of practical engineering experience
- Familiar with basic AVR microcontrollers and peripheral hardware such as circuits, familiar with EMC processing, and related safety requirements
- Familiar with circuit design software, PROTEL 99SE, PROTEL DXP, 4 layer PCB, able to do layouts
- Proficient in 8-bit microcontrollers, and development of embedded systems, especially AVR series
- Proficient in C and assembly language, familiar control system design
- Familiar with 2D AUTOCAD and mechanical drawing ability
- Strong debugging and problem solving skills
- Familiarity of LED lighting products or RF technologies is a plus
- Familiar with project coordination and control, good communication skills, good team spirit

Production Engineer / production manager for electronic products
Job Description:
Astera is the leading manufacturer of wireless LED lamps for event and architectural lighting. The company employs engineers and a sales team in Germany and develops and produces in Shenzhen, China. We need an experienced production manager with engineering skills to coordinate the inhouse and outsourced production of finished LED products. For an experienced candidate a good package is offered.
Main duties:
- Production plan follow-up to ensure completion of production tasks per week
- Reasonable and target-orientated control of the production line, so as to achieve the performance indicators
- Follow up the production of 5S condition, and the production of posters and guidelines
- Basic quality control
- Participate in new product development
Requirements:
- Management experience in a electronics factory site
- 5S proficiency in understanding and to effective implementation
- Familiar with electronic component technology and basic knowledge of quality standards
- Good communication and presentation skills, able to work well under pressure
- Familiar with management of BOM and ECN (Engineering Change) work processes
- Familiarity of LED lighting products or RF technologies is a plus
